We are pleased to announce the launch of our 'House the House' Project working with the fabulous Last night a DJ saved my life.  This is a cross party initiative run for the House of Commons headed by MP Mike Weatherly.

Both Last Night a DJ Foundation and Bluesky Pie passionately believe that introducing one small positive change into a young persons life can produce amazing changes to them and subsequently through their engagement benefit their community.  This is the very basis of our DJ competition.

Wh have launched a national DJ competition like no other.  This competition is not just about 1 DJ winning a prize; it is about changing the lives and the communities of everyone involved.

Although the winning DJ will receive a life changing prize that could see them going on to become a professional DJ including playing an historic set at House of Commons along side an A list DJ.  We will also be using young volunteers to help run each event with promoting, in sound, lighting, stage management, film making, journalism and a host of other activities.

We have many years experience promoting young people through music and working in the music industry in areas with serious social issues and we have helped many young people change their lives by now working in or going to university to become qualified to work in the music industry.  We are now looking to achieve this same goal nationwide.

We looking for an army of vlunteers across the 11 cities where heats will be held; Glasgow, Belfast, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham, Cardiff, Bristol, London and Brighton.  You will be mentored in real skills required for the music industry, you will be getting shed loads of real experience for your CVs and you will have some serious fun.

We will also be providing each of the 12 cities with equipment and a facility to continue to offer a place that aspiring DJs can go to and practice their art free of charge.  This can be a positive centre for change in the community.  The equipment will be procured by donations from manufacturers from LNADSML and its sustainability will be provided by the volunteers who will continue to work there.

Get involved.  It will require that you have to learn new skills.  You will have to meet and work with new people.  Who knows where this will lead you.  Who knows what difference it will make in your life. Who knows if this will somehow chage the direction of your life?  We DO know, that you will never know unless you get involved.
